Cheesymite chips, voted by New Zealanders as their favourite chip in a radio poll, has hit the shelves.

Radio hosts Robert and Jono from The Rock conducted an audience oll, and Bluebird Foods agreed to make the chips.

The packaging has been designed by Interbrand, with the design referencing the origin of the flavour - the Kiwi classic of Marmite or Vegemite, cheese and chip sandwiches.

Bluebird says that the limited edition chips have proven hugely popular since hitting the stores in mid-June.
